How to Submit Films
The non-refundable handling fee for each work submitted is $25. A discounted fee of $20 is available for students. (Students, please enclose a photocopy of your current ID card.) To encourage early submissions, rates are $5 less if entry is received by June 1, 2013. Checks should be made payable to the Rehoboth Beach Film Society and must accompany the entry form and film submission.
The film submissions period expired on June 28, 2013. Submissions for the 2013 Film Festival will no longer be accepted. Check back in January 2014 for information about next years submissons.
A completed entry form (see below) must accompany each work submitted, along with full payment.
Submissions must be labeled with the film title, running time and contact information (including name, e-mail address, mailing address, and phone number).
All film submissions must be in DVD format, (both NTSC and PAL formats accepted), or via an online link after fees have been paid.
Submissions will not be returned.
Selected films must be made available for Festival presentation in 35mm DCP or professionally mastered DVD (NTSC), and BluRay.
Foreign language films must be made available with the original language soundtrack and English subtitles.
Films previously submitted to the Rehoboth Beach Film Society (RBFS) will not be considered (unless requested by RBFS).
To receive acknowledgment of receipt of your entry, enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope or postcard with your submission.
Films selected for screening will be notified in September.
If a film is invited to participate in the Festival, the film must be shipped prepaid, insured and packed in proper containers.
The RBFS will be responsible for return shipping charges of films screened at the Festival. The RBFS will not pay for international shipping of domestic films.
The RBFS does not assume any liability for damage to prints due to improper containers or otherwise. All films in our possession will be insured against damage or loss while participating in the festival.
The RBFS is not responsible for any claim involving copyright, trademarks, credits or royalty infringements related to the work. Submission of an entry to this Festival signifies that the entrant understands, accepts and agrees to these conditions.
Materials of all submissions become the property of the RBFS, and can be used for review purposes and to promote the film and programs of the Society in all mediums including film, television, radio and the Internet.
The film submissions period expired on June 28, 2013. Submissions for the 2013 Film Festival will no longer be accepted.
